Abstract
Colorectal cancer (CRC) develops slowly from a growth of tissue or polyp on the inner lining of the colon or rectum over a period of 10 to 20 years. It is a largely preventable disease which requires community participation in the prevention process, such as life style modification and proper screening, early detection and removal of adenomatous polyps (precancerous polyps).
